The Red Raiders (0-0-1) take on Bellevue University (Neb.) (2-2) Saturday afternoon in the opening of the Pizza Ranch Classic. Kickoff is slated for 3pm at the NWC Soccer Complex.

Northwestern started off the season with 1-1 draw against Viterbo University (Wis.) on August 20th. The Raiders got on the board in the first half with a goal from Nikky Farnsworth off an assist from Molly Ryan.

Bellevue has beaten Briar Cliff University (Iowa) and Morningside College (Iowa) but has lost to MidAmerican Nazarene and Columbia. 

"We are excited to take on another tough opponent today," commented head coach Ben Karnish. "We are a team that has a lot of new faces and we want to see how 10 days of training and preparation can be applied to our match."
