Anker To Play Football At Northwestern

Simon Anker (Lynden, Wash.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.

13297Anker is a 6'4", 235-pound offensive / defensive lineman and long snapper who had a standout four-year career playing for Lynden Christian High School. Anker totaled 47 tackles, one interception and one fumble recovery in leading his team to the state semifinals with a 10-3 record. He accounted for four quarterback sacks and received the Good Sportsmanship Award as a senior. A member of the National Honor Society, Anker plans to major in Biology / Health Professions at Northwestern. He is the son of Stan and Heather.

"Simon has outstanding potential as a long snapper," commented Northwestern Head Coach Matt McCarty. "He is a great fit for our program and Northwestern College. We feel that Simon will excel here and are excited to have him join our football team."
