Payton Stanfield (
Kansas City, Mo.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football and track and field careers at Northwestern College next fall.

Stanfield is a 6'1", 170-pound wide receiver who had a standout three-year career playing for Park Hill High School. Stanfield led his team with 641 receiving yards and eight touchdowns, averaging over 16 yards per reception. He earned all-conference honors two years and helped lead his team to the state playoffs as a senior.
"Payton is a great athlete who possesses top-notch speed," said Northwestern Head Coach
Matt McCarty. "He is a big-play threat who has the potential to score every time he touches the football. Payton will be a big weapon in our offense and we are excited to have him join the Red Raider football team."
A two-time state qualifier in track and field, Stanfield posted a top five finish at the Kansas Relays in the 4x100 and a fourth place finish in the 4x200 as a junior. Stanfield plans to major in Business at Northwestern and is the son of Jim and Melissa.
