Harder To Play Football At Northwestern

Drake Harder (Bingham Lake, Minn.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.

13046Harder is a 6'4", 205-pound utility player who filled multiple positions for the Mountain Lake High School football team. Harder accounted for 1,655 yards and scored 30 touchdowns in leading his team to a 12-1 record and 9-man state runner-up finish. He accumulated 278 tackles and four interceptions over the course of his career and was named both all-state (one year) and all-district (two years). Named to the all-tournament team and to the Minnesota Honor Society, Harder plans to major in exercise science at Northwestern. He is the son of Duane and Belle.

"Drake is a player who could excel in multiple positions for us over the next four years," commented Northwestern Head Coach Matt McCarty. "He is a tremendous athlete who possesses good size and makes tons of plays. We are excited to have him join our defense and be a game-changer on that side of the ball."
