Jeremiah Delzer (
Scottsbluff, Neb.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football and track and field career at Northwestern College next fall.

Delzer is a 6'1", 200-pound linebacker and tight end who recently completed a standout three-year career playing for Scottsbluff High School. Delzer earned all-state honors after totaling 52 tackles and three forced fumbles on defense and 11 catches for 194 yards and two touchdowns on offense. He was both an all-district and all-conference pick and led his team to a state runner-up finish with a 12-1 record. Selected as a team captain, Delzer earned academic all-state honors and plans to major in secondary education at Northwestern. He is the son of Perry Delzer and Joanne Wise.
"Jeremiah is a tremendous athlete who will be a perfect fit to play for our defense," stated Northwestern Head Coach
Matt McCarty. "He is a playmaker and a great competitor who understands how to win. Jeremiah has good size, quickness and will continue to excel over the next four years at Northwestern."
A four-year letter winner in track and field, Delzer qualified for and placed at the state meet in three events as a junior. Delzer finished fifth in the 100m, posting a personal best time of 10.99 seconds. He was the state runner-up in the 200m with a time of 22.41 and was part of a 4x100 relay that finished sixth. Named team captain, Delzer is an academic all-state selection.

Matt McCarty. "He is a talented sprinter who has had an accomplished high school career. Jeremiah will help us score points at conference and at the national level."
