Aaron Shepard (Marengo, Ill.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his track and field career at Northwestern College next fall.

Shepard is a 5'11" high jumper who earned a combined nine letters competing in track and field, football and wrestling for Marengo Community High School heading into this spring. Shepard earned all-state and all-conference honors in high jump as a junior and has a personal best of 6'7". Also a two-time all-conference selection in football, Shepard is an honor roll student and plans to major in Actuarial Science at Northwestern. He is the son of Scott and Heather.

"We are thrilled to have Aaron compete as a Red Raider next year," said Northwestern head coach Scott Bahrke. "He will be a great asset to our jumps crew and will score points at both the conference and national level. Aaron possesses great work ethic, is very coachable and is an outstanding addition to our program and campus."
