The Red Raiders faced an overpowering team in the Ravens from Benedictine College Saturday as the Raiders dropped the match 8-0.The Raiders are now 0-2 on the year while Benedictine moves to 2-0.

"Benedictine was a great team and they had a ton of great players," commented head coach Ben Karnish. "They are probably the best team we have faced in my time here and it showed. We had some moments that showed promise but we have a way to go to obtain that type of level."

The Raiders were scored on four times in each half. They have now let in 12 goals in the first two games. 

"We have some kinks to work out all across the field but some of those kinks take time. We have two games with the Pizza Ranch Classic coming up that will be big tests for us."

Northwestern will face Kansas Wesleyan and Trinity Christian (Ill.) over Labor Day weekend.
