Northwestern is looking to start off 2-0 for the second straight year as they travel to Benedictine College to face the Ravens who are receiving votes in the Preseason NAIA Polls. The Raiders won their opener 8-1 at home against the Buena Vista University Beavers.
Scouting Benedictine:
The Ravens are kicking off their season after ending their 2017 season with a shootout loss in the quarterfinals of the Heart of America playoffs. The Ravens were 14-3-2 in 2017 but head coach, Miguel Rodrigues, stepped down from his position and John Sosa has taken over on an interm status for the 2018 season.
The Ravens graduate their top two goal scorers from 2018 and have a large number of newcomers to the program with a new coach in charge.
Scouting Northwestern:
The Red Raiders are coming off a 11-6-2 season, one of their best ever. The Raiders lost in the GPAC Tournament semi-finals Concordia.
The Raiders are 1-0 on the year after dominating Buena Vista 8-1 on Tuesday night.

Tyler Limmer earned 3 assists on the night. 6 other Raiders had a goal on the night. The Raiders return a strong group from 2017 that is lead by a senior heavy group that has seen a lot of success on and off the field.
