The Red Raider men's soccer team gets their 2018 season underway Tuesday against Buena Vista University (Iowa) beginning at 7:15pm.

The Raiders come off a 2017 in which they finished 12-6-2 and 7-2-0 in Great Plains Athletic Conference play, good for a shared second place finish. Their season ended in the semi-finals of the GPAC tournament, losing 1-2.
Northwestern's non-conference schedule has multiple top 30 teams along with talented teams picked to be toward the top three in their respective conferences. They open up at home against Buena Vista University and then travel at the end of the first week to Atchison, Kan. to face Benedictine (RV). The Raiders then host Bethel College (Ind.) and Trinity Christian College on back-to-back nights for the Pizza Ranch Classic.
The Red Raiders then travel to Baldwin City, Kan. to face 10
th ranked Baker University to kick off three games on the road. Northwestern will then travel to California to face 4
th ranked Marymount University and then La Sierra University to round out the tough non-conference schedule.

The conference slate will also be very competitive. The Red Raiders will travel to Doane, Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.), Dordt (Iowa) and Hastings (Neb.). The Raiders home games include Jamestown (N.D.), Concordia (Neb.), Briar Cliff (Iowa), Midland (Neb.), Presentation (S.D.), and Morningside (Iowa). Â
