Houweling To Play Football at Northwestern

Monday, July 30, 2018

Cole Houweling (Madera, Calif.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College this fall.

Houweling is a 6'2", 162-pound wide receiver and safety who played three years for the Stone Ridge Christian High School football team. A three-time all-district selection, Houweling helped lead his team to the state playoffs and finish with a 10-2 record. He totaled 2,295 all-purpose yards and accounted for 251 tackles, eight interceptions and eight quarterback sacks. An honor roll student, Houweling plans to major in Ag. Business at Northwestern.

"Cole is a tremendous playmaker on defense," said Northwestern head coach Matt McCarty. "He will be an excellent addition to our secondary."
