Strasser is a 5'6" pitcher and infielder who played 10 years for the Extreme South Dakota Club team. Strasser hit an impressive .570 in leading her team to a 32-17-1 overall record last year. She totaled 21 extra base hits, including 14 doubles and two home runs. An honor roll student, Strasser is the daughter of Brent and Monica.

"Emily will be a great addition to our softball program," commented Northwestern head coach Chris Nachtigall. She is an excellent athlete who can play multiple positions. Emily is a quality young lady, both on and off the field.  I am confident that she will be someone who will enhance the NWC community as a whole."
