Jade Magnuson (
Denison, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College this fall.
Magnuson is a 6'0", 260-pound offensive and defensive lineman who played multiple years for the Denison-Schleswig High School football team. A second team all-district selection, Magnuson helped pave the way for an offense that totaled 2,207 yards and scored 21 touchdowns last fall. He played all five spots along the o-line throughout his career and led an offense that averaged over five yards per play. Magnuson accounted for 13 tackles and 1.5 quarterback sacks on defense. He plans to major in elementary education at Northwestern and is the son of Steve and Lori.
"Jade has the potential to be a difference maker for us along the offensive line," commented Northwestern head football coach
Matt McCarty. "He has great size and has the versatility to play a number of different spots up front. We are excited about his overall athleticism and are thrilled that he has made the decision to join the Red Raider family."
