Liam Stubbe (
Ackley, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall. He will also play baseball for the Red Raiders.

Stubbe is a 5'11", 175-pound running back and defensive back who had a standout, four-year career playing for AGWSR High School. Stubbe accounted for over 1,000 yards of total offense and scored 15 touchdowns in leading his team to a 5-4 record as a senior. He rushed for 943 yards, averaging 6.4 yards per carry, and totaled 16 catches for 306 yards and four touchdowns in earning first team all-district honors for the second straight year last fall. On defense, Stubbe totaled 58.5 tackles, second most on the team, and one interception. Stubbe rushed 854 yards and scored 13 touchdowns as a junior and was also an all-district pick as a sophomore (second team) and freshman (honorable mention). Stubbe was picked to play in the Iowa Shrine Bowl and was an academic all-state selection. He plans to major in Business at Northwestern and is the son of Jeff and Stacy.

Matt McCarty. "He is a gifted athlete and playmaker, both on offense and defense, and will challenge for playing time immediately in our secondary."
