Douglas To Play Football at Northwestern

Frederick Douglas II (Rochester, Minn.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.

Douglas is a 5'9", 170-pound running back and defensive back who played four years for Lourdes High School. Douglas was one of the leading rushers as a senior for a team that finished with a 7-3 record and lost in the second round of the playoffs. He plans to major in political science at Northwestern and is the son of Aundrea and Frederick.

"Freddy comes from a tradition-rich program at Rochester Lourdes," commented Northwestern head coach Matt McCarty. "He is an outstanding athlete who made plays on both sides of the ball. Freddy understands what it takes to be successful and we are excited to have him join the Red Raider football family."
