The Red Raiders (10-6-2, 6-3-2 GPAC) take on Briar Cliff University (10-6-2, 7-3-1 GPAC) Thursday afternoon at 2pm in the GPAC Quarterfinals.

The Red Raiders earned the 6th seed gaining 20 points on the year and the Chargers earned the 3rd seed with 22 points. It was a tight battle from 3rd to 7th with all five teams separated by only 3 points.

Scouting Briar Cliff University:

The Chargers are coming off 5-0 win against Mount Marty College on Sunday in a match that had to be made up due to weather.

Briar Cliff has been lead offensively by Prichard Sibanda who has 7 goals and 3 assists on the year. Sebastian Justiniano also has 7 goals on the year but only 1 assist compared to Sibanda. The Chargers have scored 43 goals on the year and have had 18 different players score. 

Lorenzo Volta has been the main goalkeeper on the back end of the season allowing only 8 goals against, making 26 saves, and earning 3 shutouts along the way. The Chargers have only allowed 18 goals against all season, making them a tough matchup for any team in the postseason.

Scouting Northwestern:

The Red Raiders are lead by Tyler Limmer who has 13 goals and 12 assists. Limmer's 12 assists put him tied for 5th in the nation. Mateus Freitas has 12 assists on the year and joins Limmer in being ranked 5th in the nation for assists. Anselmo Kim has 11 goals and 7 assists, Breno Fabbri has 10 goals and 2 assist, Alex Schussman has 7 goals and 3 assists. 

The Raiders have scored 62 goals, good for 8th in the nation, and average 2.610 assists per game. While the offense has been strong, the Raiders have had 6 shutouts.

Matt Scott has been strong in goal only allowing 21 goals in on the year. He has 64 saves and has four shutouts. His save percentage is currently 0.753
