Jensen Joins Football, Track and Field Programs

Jaymin Jensen (Kellogg, Minn.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.

Jensen is a 5'11", 205-pound defensive back who played four years for the Wabasha-Kellogg High School football team. Jensen totaled 26 tackles, five interceptions and forced/recovered three fumbles in earning all-district honors as a senior. He was also named to the all-area team and helped lead his team to the state playoffs. Jensen plans to major in exercise science at Northwestern and is the son of Troy and Dana.

"Jaymin is an outstanding addition to our secondary," said Northwestern head football coach Matt McCarty. "He is a gifted athlete and a great playmaker on the back end of a defense. We are thrilled to have Jaymin commit to our Red Raider football program."

Jensen has competed three years in track and field heading into his final season this spring. He earned all-conference honors in both the hurdles and high jump as a junior. Jensen has personal bests of 5'8" in the high jump and 44.21 in the hurdles.

"We are thrilled to add Jaymin to our men's track and field squad," commented Northwestern coach Scott Bahrke. "He is a talented athlete who will continue to improve in his time on campus. Jaymin will add depth to our hurdles crew."
