Northwestern College dropped a doubleheader to Friends this afternoon in Wichita, Kan., 12-11 and 13-4 in five innings. The Red Raiders are now 8-8 on the season. 

Friends jumped out to an 11-0 lead after two innings of game one, chasing NW starter Kayla Tindall after 1.1 innings. The Red Raiders began to come back with three unearned runs in the third and scored four more in the fifth. Cheyenne Wilcke belted a three-run home run to make the score 12-7 after five.

Northwestern scored three more in the sixth, getting a two-run double by Jessica Rayela and an RBI single from Jaclyn Smith. A Jessica Sandbulte home run made it a one-run game in the seventh but the Red Raiders rally fell just short. 

Rayela, Smith and Katie Elliott all had two hits each to pace the Red Raiders 13 hit attack.

Northwestern dropped the nightcap, 13-4, in five innings. Tindall took the loss in the circle after 2/3 of an inning. Wilcke went 1-for-2 with a home run and Madison Beaver added two hits and two runs scored.
