Christina Konz (
LeMars, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue her softball career at Northwestern College next fall.
Konz is a 5'4" infielder who has played four years for LeMars Community High School heading into her final season this summer. Konz hit .292 with four doubles, one home run, 19 runs scored and 15 RBIs as a junior, earning second team all-conference honors for the second consecutive year. She was named to the first team as a freshman and was also a starter during her eighth-grade season when the Bulldogs' earned their first trip to the state tournament in program history. A member of the National Honor Society and honor roll, Konz plans to major in secondary education at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Lee and Susan.
"Christina is a great addition to our softball program," said Northwestern head coach
Chris Nachtigall. "She has a love for the game that you can see in how she plays on the field. Christina is dedicated to becoming the best player she can be and that will serve her well her at Northwestern College."
