Ryan Van Ostrand (Lincoln, Neb.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his golf career at Northwestern College next fall.

Van Ostrand is a three-year letterwinner for Lincoln Christian High School heading into his final season this spring. Van Ostrand has played for three state tournament teams, finishing as the runner-up both his freshman and sophomore years and placing fourth last spring. Individually, Van Ostrand finished in the top 15 at state both his sophomore (12^th) and junior (13^th) seasons. He placed third at the Nebraska Junior Golf Tour (NJGT) Summer Series and has a personal best of 73. Van Ostrand is a member of the National Honor Society and earned academic all-state honors. He plans to major in math/computer science at Northwestern and is the son of Perry and Lisa.

"We are thrilled to have Ryan join his brother Dana on the Red Raider golf team," said head coach Aaron Aberson. "Ryan is an extremely strong student and continues to improve his game on the course. He is a great addition to our team and to our campus."
