Game Time...Northwestern College heads to Fremont, Neb. for a match-up against Midland this weekend in GPAC play. Kickoff at Heedum Field is scheduled for 1pm. Northwestern, ranked 19th in the NAIA, will look to rebound after losing its first game of the season last weekend to No.4 Morningside. The Red Raiders are 2-1 in the GPAC, 4-1 overall. Midland is also 2-1 in the GPAC, 4-1 overall.Â

All-Time...Saturday's game will be the 45th game in the all-time series in what is the longest rivalry for the Red Raiders. Northwestern leads the series 32-12-1, dating back to the 1961 season, and is 9-1 over the last 10 matchups against Midland.Â
Northwestern defeated Midland 41-0 last year in Orange City only to have that win erased months later as the Red Raiders had to forfeit the game. It goes down as 1-0 win for Midland.Â

Jacob Kalogonis rushed for 178 yards and the Raider D registered its first shutout of the season in Northwestern's 41-0 win over Midland last October.Â
Sam Van Ginkel registered four sacks and broke both the GPAC and school record he shared (3.5) with former Red Raider Cody Van Sloten. The Raider D totaled six sacks and scored a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns off a 34-yard interception return by Donovan Weldon and a 25-yard fumble recovery by Jed Van't Hof.
Northwestern totaled 362 yards of offense, led by Kalogonis who rushed 19 times for 178 yards.Â
Jonathan Kodama completed 12-of-23 passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns whileÂ
Craig Bruinsma completed all three of his passes for 34 yards and a score.
Midland gained 267 yards of offense, led by freshman quarterback Garry Cannon who completed 18-of-42 passes for 221 yards.
