The Red Raiders dropped their final regular season game of the year at Briar Cliff University Saturday after a 1-0 defeat in double overtime. The result of the game ended up having no effect on the conference standings for NWC as Dordt beat College of Saint Mary which cemented the playoff seeds having Dordt earn the 4 spot and NWC the 5 spot.

The first half saw very little offensive action for both teams as the Raiders failed to register a shot on goal and Briar Cliff only found the frame twice. The majority of the first half saw the ball in the middle third of the field, never seeing chances get out of the center circle. 

The second half saw more offensive action for both teams but the score remained 0-0 throughout. 

Both overtime periods saw action back and forth on the field but the Raiders were not able to convert on any of their buildups and got countered in the 107th minute when the Chargers picked off a pass and countered down the left flank. Brenna Oliver received the ball in the final third and played a hard cross to the backside of the goal where Briar Cliff's lone runner, Taylor Beaulieu tapped in the cross.

The loss drops the Raiders to 10-5-3 and 5-3-2 in conference play.

The Red Raiders will face Dordt College in the GPAC Quarterfinals Thursday at 2pm.
