Northwestern College lost to third-ranked Williams Baptist (Ark.) 24-15 in the first match of the NAIA Duals held this week in Fort Wayne, Ind.
The Red Raiders fall to 4-2 in duals this season.
Northwestern picked four wins against the highly-ranked Eagles', including a dramatic 11-10 decision by Randall Null over #5 Demetrius Thomas at 285. Null improved to 12-1 on the season.
Austin Boles began the dual with a win by fall, pinning Pierre Dowling in 40 seconds, for his 12th win of the season. Dante Preciado earned a 13-7 decision over Jaitlan Pitts at 141 and No.5 Andras Lukacs-Farkas held off Jeffrey Haley 4-3 at 174.
Northwestern will now compete against No.9 Midland at 2pm CST.
