Northwestern College vs. Presentation College

Northwestern College hosted Presentation College on Friday evening.  NWC was able to take control and pick up their first win of season in convincing fashion 6-1.

 Northwestern got off to a fast start with a goal by Wesley Lockwood assisted by Breno Fabbri just two minutes into the match.  The duo then connected with the Raiders second goal eight minutes later with Fabbri scoring and Lockwood with the assist to push the lead to 2-0.

The scoring continued as Daniel Zapata added a nice unassisted goal at the 20 minute mark.

Northwestern then pushed the score to 5-0 at the half with goals by Morgan Newby and Braxton Williams.

The Final in this game was 6-1 with Tyler Limmer putting the sixth goal into the back of the net.

Northwestern College vs. Bethany (Kan.)

Northwestern in the second match of the Pizza Ranch Classic added its' second win in as many days with a 4-1 victory over Bethany (Kan.).

This match started off on the wrong foot for Northwestern as Bethany was able to take an early lead with a goal by Alex Clark 36 minutes in to break the scoreless score.  

The Bethany lead only lasted seven minutes as Cole Cruse was able to knot the score at 1-1 before the half.

After the half Northwestern's offense picked up right where it had left off the night before and rallied off three goals in the second half.

The first was a corner kick that Dylan Hengst was able to put into the net off the foot of Isaac Wong.

Score then jumped to 3-1 when Tyler Limmer found Hartrick Tarr who was able to get ahead of the defenders and beat the keeper with a nice shot.

The Raiders then pushed the game out of reach with a goal by Alex Schussman to make the final score 4-1.

Great offensive attacks helped the Raiders take Two during this Pizza Ranch Classic and push their overall record to 2-3 on the season.
