Raiders Fall to No. 2 Hastings

Northwestern College played No. 2 Hastings College Saturday evening. Northwestern lost the contest 0-2 against a tough Broncos crew.  Northwestern falls to 7-11 overall and finish 4-5 in the conference.

Northwestern College had two great scoring chances early in the match, one in which Tyler Limmer had a an open look and just missed wide of the net.

The Broncos were on the offensive all day as they took 16 total shots and finding the net on two of those shots for a 2-0 score.

Northwestern hung around in this one as the score was 0-0 until the 37th minute when the Broncos put together a goal off a corner kick that bounced around until it found the foot of Marc Tautz, who buried it into the back of the net. 

The score remained 0-1 in favor of Hastings until some nice passing found a way to get the ball to Daniel Whitehall for a goal which put the game away at a 0-2 score.

Keeper Matt Scott recorded nine saves in this one.

Up next for Northwestern

Raiders travel to Concordia Thursday, November 3rd at 7 pm. for the GPAC Quarterfinals in opening game of postseason play.
