FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Alexa Johnson, Women’s Soccer
  • Johnson (Spencer, Iowa) got off to a very hot start in her Red Raider career, finding the back of the net four times in her first two matches in the red and white.
  • Her four goals currently lead the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), as of August 29.
  • Two of her four goals proved to be the game-winning goals.
  • NWC started the 2022 season with a pair of wins down in Missouri, downing William Woods (2-1) and Stephens (5-3).
  • The Red Raiders won their season-opener and their first two matches in a season for the first time since the 2011 season.
  • The honor marks the first in the freshman’s career at Northwestern.
