MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Lorenzo Jones, Men's Track & Field
  • Jones had a performance to remember on the biggest stage of the year, by far.
  • He notched a new NWC Outdoor record of 15.05m in the Triple Jump inside the Blue Oval over the weekend.
  • The mark also hit the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) 'A' mark, earning him a spot at the NAIA Outdoor Championships.
  • Of the 25 competitors, the sophomore was the highest-finishing NAIA athlete in the event at 10th.
  • On the year, Jones is the third male track & field athlete to earn the weekly Raider honors.
