American State Bank Raider Athletes of the Week

DeGroot & Jenness earn the weekly Raider awards for their performances.

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern College athletics has named women's track and field student-athlete Aubrey DeGroot and wrestling student-athlete Luke Jenness as the Raider Athletes of the Week, presented by American State Bank, for their performances during the week of January 22.

MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Luke Jenness, Wrestling

Jenness (Sr., Primghar, Iowa) went 7-2 for a fourth-place finish at the Missouri Valley Invite last weekend.
He recorded three pins and 81 match points, in addition to a tech fall.
On his journey to the third-place bout, Jenness defeated both the No. 10- and No. 16-ranked wrestlers at 184.

FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Aubrey DeGroot, Women's Track and Field

DeGroot (Fr., Orange City, Iowa) set the school indoor record in the high jump, hitting a mark of 1.65m at the Concordia Polar Dog Invite.
Her height earned her the provisional mark in her second collegiate meet.
She also earned her first collegiate win, placing first among 22 athletes.
