GPAC Quarterfinals Match-up No. 4 Morningside vs. No. 5 Northwestern

Northwestern College women’s soccer travels to Morningside College on Tuesday, November 1st at 7 p.m.

Morningside is 9-7-1 overall and 6-3-1 in conference play. Northwestern is 10-8 overall and 6-4 in conference.

Morningside earned the No. 4 seed in the tournament by going 4-1-1 down the stretch in conference play.

Northwestern earned the No. 5 seed after a fast start going 5-0, but only going 1-4 over final five conference matches.

In the match-up of the two teams earlier in the year Morningside defeated Northwestern 1-0, with lone goal coming off a penalty kick in the 76th minute.

The Raiders have 32 goals scored on the year and have allowed 27 in 18 games.  

Naomi Schimmel and Madison Fordyce have combined for seven shutouts in 2016.

Alissa Christoffer has scored nine goals along with four assists, Tatiana Garcia has scored five goals, and Jahdai Dunk has scored three goals along with three assists on the year.
