Roberts To Play Golf at Northwestern College

Morgan Roberts (Fonda, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue her golf career at Northwestern College next fall.

Roberts is a three-year letter winner for the Newell-Fonda golf team heading into her senior season this spring.  A two-time all-district selection, Roberts has a scoring average of 51.2 for nine holes and 97 for 18. She took home medalist honors eight times as a junior, earning all-state honors, and helped lead her team to a second place finish in the conference. Roberts is a member of the honor roll and plans to major in Nursing at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Dan and Jess Wernimont and Curt Roberts.

“I am really excited to have Morgan join our women’s golf team next fall,” commented head Northwestern women’s golf coach Catherine Van Der Weide. “Morgan is a great competitor and I look forward to seeing her grow, both as a player and as a student, at Northwestern.”
