The Red Raiders won their 13th straight game as they defeated Dakota Wesleyan at home, 95-74. Northwestern, ranked second in yesterday's NAIA poll, improved to 25-1 overall, 15-0 in the GPAC with three regular season games remaining.

Northwestern used a 6-0 run to turn a three point lead into a 33-24 advantage in the first half. They also closed the half on a 10-4 to lead 50-36 at halftime.

The Red Raiders began the second half with a 22-13 run to pull away from the visiting Tigers. They held their biggest lead, 95-66, with just over a minute left to play.

Coach Woudstra's squad shot 66% for the game, including a blistering 70% in the first half. Dakota Wesleyan shot 39% from the floor, 30% from beyond the arc. Debbie Remmerde led a balanced Red Raider scoring attack with 25 points, followed by Amy Larson with 18. Crystal Algood added 15 points, a team-high eight rebounds and five blocked shots. Becca Hurley added 11 points off the bench for NWC. Northwestern held a slim, 33-29, advantage on the boards. Miranda Boekhout dished out 12 assists and Mandy Carr added nine.

The Red Raiders will next play Doane in Crete, Neb. on Saturday, Feb. 16, at 2:00 pm.
