With their victory over the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers, the Raiders have now won four straight games, improving their overall record to 19-6, 12-3 in the GPAC.
Currently ranked 19th in the NAIA Div. II poll, Northwestern led the Tigers by just six at intermission before opening up a 14-point edge at the 14:05 mark in the second act. DWU hit two consecutive three-point shots to pull within eight in the next two minutes, but that was all the closer the Raiders would permit.
Deb Remmerde led all scorers with 35 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Amy Larson added 11 points, going 3-4 beyond the three-point arc, and Jaime Hoegh tallied 10 points. Mandy Carr recorded nine assists and snagged three steals in the win.
NWC will travel to Fremont, Neb., this coming Saturday to take on Midland Lutheran. Game time is 2:00 p.m.
