Deb Remmerde scored 45 points en route to the Raiders' 83-74 win over the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers in GPAC action Wednesday night. Remmerde eclipsed her old record of 44 points in a game set last season against Bethany. The junior was 7-12 from beyond the three-point arc and a perfect 12-12 from the charity stripe, including six straight in the last 46 seconds of play.
Northwestern led DWU at the half, 35-28, and extended their cushion to as much as 20 in the second act. The Tigers made a comeback bid in the final minutes, however, pulling to within six in the final ticks. Remmerde put the contest out of reach with her perfect marksmanship from the free throw line.
Mandy Carr was the only other Raider in double figures with 10 points. She also led NWC on the boards with eight rebounds. She had six assists and four steals.
Coach Woudstra's squad will play host to Hastings on Jan. 13 in a 2:00 p.m. match-up.
