Kadie Bauer (Paullina, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue her track and field career at Northwestern College next year.
Bauer is a 5’9” multi-sports standout who has lettered three years for the South O’Brien track and field team heading into her final season this spring. Bauer is a two-time state qualifier in discus, placing 11th as a sophomore and 15th as a junior. She won the district championship as a sophomore in discus while finishing as the runner-up last year. Bauer also placed all three years at the conference meet in shot put and earned all-conference honors in volleyball. A member of the National Honor Society and honor roll student, Bauer plans to major in Nursing at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Scott and Kari.
“We are excited to have Kadie throwing for our women’s track and field team next year,” commented head Northwestern track and field coach Scott Bahrke. “She will be a great addition to our campus and has outstanding work ethic. Kadie will be an encouraging teammate and I look forward to working with her the next four years.”
