Northwestern used a big second half to pull away and defeat Dakota Wesleyan 93-81 in the final home game of the regular season. With the win, Northwestern improved to 14-5 in the GPAC, 21-6 overall, and took sole possession of second place in the GPAC with one game left to play. DWU dropped to 7-12 in the GPAC, 15-14 overall.

Ben Miller scored 21 of his team-high 22 points in a second half that had Northwestern shoot 60% and score 57 points. The junior forward went 8-for-11 from the floor and also pulled down five rebounds. Zack Leeper netted 14 points and Walker Seim (12) and Ryan Stock (11) were also in double figures. Stock drained a trio of three-pointers in the second half.

The Raiders trailed by one at halftime but began the second half on a 12-2 run to take the lead for good, 48-39. Northwestern pushed the lead to double digits for most of the final period.

Northwestern shot 56% for the game and held a huge 40-25 advantage on the glass. They pulled down 12 offensive boards, led by both Miller and Goslinga with three each. Jon Kramer dished out six assists, totaled nine rebounds and had three steals.

Dakota Wesleyan shot 46% from the field and was led by Mike Lee with 30 points while his backcourt mate, Carde Pennington scored 22.

Northwestern will head to Fremont, Neb. to play Midland on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 4:00pm. With a win, the Red Raiders can clinch the second seed in next week's GPAC tournament.
