Daniel Van Kalsbeek scored a game-high 20 points in leading 11th-ranked Northwestern to an 80-66 road win over Mount Marty Wednesday night in Yankton, S.D. The Raiders improve to 12-2 in the GPAC, 19-5 overall, with four games left in the regular season.

The Raiders closed the first half on a 21-9 run to open up a 46-35 lead. Coach Korver's squad shot an impressive 66% in the opening half and used a big advantage on the offensive boards to outscore the Lancers 10-0 on second chance points.

Northwestern maintained a double-digit lead for most of the second half and continued its dominance on the glass, especially on the offensive boards.

Van Kalsbeek made 9-of-13 field goal attempts to lead the Raiders with 20 points. Ryan Hoogeveen matched his season high with 18 points and four assists while Jon Kramer scored nine points and dished out four assists coming off the bench. Northwestern held a 44-28 rebounding advantage, led by Stuart Goslinga, Ben Miller and Van Kalsbeek who all pulled down six boards.

Mount Marty was led by Joe Hieb with 17 points, going 6-of-7 from the floor, and Jared Wall added 12 points and four rebounds. Mount Marty shot 41% for the game and drops to 5-8 in the GPAC, 7-16 overall.

Northwestern will host Hastings on Saturday, Feb. 5 at 4:00 pm.
