Christopher Jelken (Luverne, Minn.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College.
Jelken is a three-sport standout who played three years for the Luverne High School football team. A 6’4” offensive/defensive linemen who also served as the kicker and punter, Jelken earned all-district honors two years and helped lead his team to the sectional semifinals. Also a letterwinner in tennis and hockey, Jelken is a member of both the honor roll and National Honor Society. He plans to major in Accounting at Northwestern and is the son of Jim and Paula.
“Chris is an outstanding athlete who will be a nice addition to our program,” commented Northwestern head coach Matt McCarty. “Chris has tremendous potential and we are excited about the impact that he will have both on our team and on campus.”
