Jacob Hommes (Lynden, Wash.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.
Hommes is a 6’0”, 195-pound quarterback who had a standout four-year career for Lynden High School. Hommes accounted for over 3,000 total yards and 43 touchdowns in leading his team to a third-place finish at state with an 11-2 record. He threw for 1,837 yards and 23 touchdowns and rushed for an additional 1,471 yards and 20 scores, earning quarterback of the year honors in Whatcom County. Hommes earned first team all-conference honors and was a nominee for state player of the year as a senior. Named the state player of the week in week five, Hommes plans to major in Kinesiology at Northwestern. He is the son of Dave and Ally.
“Jacob is an accomplished quarterback who had a great high school career,” said head Northwestern coach Matt McCarty. “He has good athleticism and is a proven winner and leader. We are thrilled that Jacob has chosen to continue his football career with the Red Raiders.”
