Dylan Hendricks (Grundy Center, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his cross country and track and field careers at Northwestern College next year.
Hendricks has competed a combined seven years for the Grundy Center cross country and track and field teams heading into his final track season this spring. Hendricks is a two-time state qualifier in cross country, placing 25th as a senior and 48th his junior year. He earned all-conference honors two years and has personal bests of 16:14 in the 5K. Hendricks qualified for the state track and field meet in the 3200m last spring as a junior where he finished 18th. He was named the team’s most valuable runner and has personal bests of 4:48 in the 1500m and 10:21 in the 3200m. An academic all-state selection and member of the National Honor Society, Hendricks plans to major in biochemistry at Northwestern. He is the son of Dustin and Emily.
“We welcome Dylan to our men’s distance crew at Northwestern College,” said head coach Scott Bahrke. “He had a great senior season in cross country and we look forward to watching him improve at the collegiate level. Dylan has strong work ethic, both in his training and in the classroom. He will be a great addition to our Northwestern campus.”
